It is simpler if we view this question in terms of an individual. On March 17th, 2008, I celebrated 30 years of being clean and sober. In working with individuals who express interest in sobriety, I have learned that you can't solve another person's problems, at "any"level. We can encourage them, provide suggestions, and share our experience, but in the last analysis, the individual must make the decision to do the work necessary for sobriety.

While it is fashionable to blame high unemployment rates, economic stagnation and ill-health on the effects of being a conquered peoples, I maintain that it is due to Native peoples adherence to the socialistic tribal structure, both culturally and economically.

You may remember when Madonna crowned Britney Spears as the queen of pop with a kiss. In similar fashion, President Bill Clinton and the Democratic elite passed the presidential baton to Senator Hillary Clinton at about that same time. However, the presidential election cycle didn't get started until 2007. By that time, a cultural sea change was well under way that started with our twenty-somethings and crept into the ranks of thirty- and forty-somethings. The "Baby Boomers"are being assimilated as we speak, and Hillary Clinton faces the same non-starting reign that Britney Spears had after her coronation "The Kiss"was supposed to be the coronation of Britney Spears as the new Queen of Pop Music.

Post-Capitalistic Free Market Economy - Can U.S. Be Rescued?

From a primitive barbarism we have advanced to the technological capitalism, but we have still sustained or barbarian character. A small economic elite controls the economy and the government. Globalization is causong the demise of capitalism bringing about unemployment, cut wages, reduced health care and retirement benefits tending a substantial reduction in our living standards. There is a need for a major transformation into a just and democratic society.
